Current system:
65 gallon wide - drilled with corner overflow - tank is a deep blue
20 gallon (I think) sump
Skimmer is built-in to sump made by a friend of ours
Refugium in middle with 4 inches sand bed and cheato - small T5 as light
4 bulb T5 lighting with ATI bulbs
Approximately 60 lbs. live rock - this is a total guess - I've had the rock for approximately 20 years
2 inch sand bed - medium aragonite
Waverunner return pump
WP-25 and korallia powerhead - I keep the wp on else at the lowest speed

Corals
ricordea
red mushrooms
a few zoas and palys - nothing super special
green hairy mushrooms
xenia
gsp
a small piece of devils' hand
long tentacle toadstool frag
toadstool
red gonipora (sp) - just got this past weekend
blasto
RBTA
one head frogspawn
one head hammer coral
(just ordered three different macro algaes - should be here tomorrow)

Fish (this and inverts are my real passion)
flamehawk
black and white occy pair
green chromis (just one, had 3 but we know how that turns out)
midas blenny
coral beauty
diamond goby/pistol
leopard wrasse
yellow tailed damsel (added last and is model citizen)
hector's goby
2 dragon-head pipefish

Inverts
2 sexy shrimp
anemone crab
several assorted types of snails and hermits including two fighting conches
am going to get at least one harlequin shrimp - have many, many asterinas in the tank - need them to be gone

I have a red spiny star in the sump at the moment

I feed A LOT lol - I feed cyclops and roe daily in addition to some frozen cubes that is a variety of meaty (pro variety mix) and baby mysis. I also give pellets and freeze dried shrimp - I kind of mix it up. I feed about 3 times per day. I feed my anemone about once every two weeks - a bit of mysis. Every now and then I'll feed my corals reef chili.

In terms of maintenance, I only change water about every month and it's usually about 15%. I don't dose but I do drip kalk with some vinegar almost daily. I use salinity salt. I use GAC and phosguard in media bags in my sump. My tank drains into the sump and I keep a sheet or two of floss at this juncture - it kind of acts like a sock. I try to clean the skimmer and floss at least weekly to biweekly.

well, that's my system - I've been in this hobby a very long time. I've had a reef now for almost two years. Prior to that, I had a FOWLR for about 15 years and prior to that, I had a 75 gallon reef tank that I kept for about 2 years. I started that tank with all uncured Marshall Island rock that I still have in my tank today.

So, I'm going to take some pictures - my tank is not in great shape at the moment - nutrients are a bit high. I know this by looking at it. I will admit this, I rarely test my water. Hopefully, these pictures will make everyone appreciate their own tank much more :)

First off, I am humbled by the previous participants, WOW there are some AMAZING reefs out there. So, with that said, this is me trying to hang with ya'll!

So, I'm going to start with what is currently setup and plugged in/running. Then I'll add some of my upgrades and projects that are in process.

Current system: (Running today)
60g petco special (non-drilled) 48"L X 24"H X 12"D
Eshopps PF-800 overflow
40g br sump
Bubble Magus NAC6 skimmer
fuge with chaeto, dragon's breath macro & 3 mangroves. Also a pair of clowns, an acan, some misc mushrooms, more acans, a panova and some devil's hand Oh, I think some zoas too.
Return with a Mag9.5
Turbo Twist 6X UV
BRS (modded) GFO reactor
Precision Marine Kalk Reactor
10g top off tank w/ JBJ ATO
All testing gear is red sea. I've used them so many times, I don't need to look at the instructions or the conversion chart.
Heater, eheim jager 300W
Flow in DT, RW-15, WP-10 & Tunze (I can't remember the model#) (I like flow & a narrow tank makes it more challenging for a mixed reef)
Lights (worst piece of equipment I have) They are a home-brewed LEDs, might as well be prison-made with how they turned out. (Don't ask long story) but I have some new killer lights on the way. No more prison lights for me.

4 stage Buckeye RO/DI unit.

-I'm pretty sure that covers equipment

Livestock
Platinum Clown (SA)
Frostbite Clown (SA)
Flame Hawkfish (Fire-Hawk Steve) My daughter named him
Tomomi Tang
Pseudochromis
(2) cleaner shrimp
CUC of various snails/crabs
(2) Tuxedo Urchins
(2) BTAs, one rainbow, one green with peach nips (these were recent additions and I couldn't pass them up at the price)
(1) Pink Zebra rock flower new
(1) Tube nem
(wow, I have a lot of nem varieties...)

-Corals - this is going to be tough. I am a frag/coral collector and I cannot stop. I will list what I know from memory, the rest will just have to be from pictures. I'm sure I'll miss some in here.
First coral I ever bought:
THOSE STUPID GREEN/BROWN PALYS THAT I CAN'T GET RID OF!
-Zoas, I have:
Magicians
Fruit Loops
Pink Auroras
Miami Vice Morph
Lunars
Supermans
Panama Blue
Pink Zipper
Armor of God
Rastas
Tyree Space Monsters
Vivid Rainbows
Kaleidoscope
Eagle Eyes
King Midas
Fire & Ice
(Currently killing) Purple hornets
Gorrilla Nips
Candy Apple Reds
Green Bay Packers (and I'm a bears fan, huh???)
Red PE Palys
Aquamans
Whammin Watermelons
Cherry Charms
Scrambled Eggs

LPS:
Numerous Hammer/Frogspawn corals (They stay alive, but I keep making accidental frags and knock a limb off) All same green color. Not really my favorite.
Rainbow Prism Favia
Blue & Neon green trumpets
Scolymia Button Coral -just plain green
Acanthastrea echinata (8" dia, lives in sump, clowns sleep on it)
Acanthastrea lordhowensis, 5-6 varieties
-Chalices
I had a large hollywood stunner, but I had to cut up to make frags. Such nasty sweepers!!!
Red/Blue chalice (part of local club growout contest)
(2) War Corals
Mycedium

SPS:
I have multiples of
BirdNests
Montis, plating/encrusting
Acros
Psammocora
Some of the ones with names:
Joe the Coral
Pearlberry
Green Slimer
Forest Fire Digi
Red Planet
Hydnophora

Oregon Torte
A couple smooth skins
more no name SPS

SPS are really addicting, but man when you look at some of the crazy colored ones out there, they zip right out of my price range in a hurry!!

I can't think of any more right off. I will post some pictures of the current setup!

First, this was taken 2/15/13, when the tank moved to WI: Microbubbles, canister filters and PC lights, OH MY!

Recent Additions (Left side, most of them were added tuesday) Insane corals had a live sale.... I fell for it!

Here's a potato shot of my SPS frag rack

That pretty much sums up my main DT/SUMP. I also maintain another tank for a club member who does not have the time to properly take care of his tank. He has a 120g tank that I pretty much do all the maintenance on and and coral placement/fragging. I've been taking care of this tank for almost 2 years now. It was 80% covered in xenia when I started.

This was right after a water change yesterday

One last thing, this tank runs with no skimmer, no reactors, just a sump with some live rock and a small amount a cheato that I brought over. Say whaaaaaat? He just doesn't want a skimmer... Who am I to tell him what to do; his tank looks really good!

I also have a frag tank going, not worth the pictures, it's basically keeping most of my rock alive for the 93 cubegrade!

The one thing I've learned from all of this: There is no right/wrong way of keeping a reef. If you follow the basics and practice good husbandry, you can keep a reef tank!

Thank you all for looking! I still consider myself a newb when it comes to most of this. I just try and learn from my mistakes!
