I got back from my trip and came home to this. He is not moving and is lying on his side breathing extremely rapidly. Is there anything I can do?


Sorry to see this. The fish is quite skinny and questions if it was lack of food or illness. If you can get it to eat - it will offer best chance of recovery, However if noy, The result may not be favorable especially seeing shallow breathing and weight loss

Yes, I bet it is a disease or parasite because it ate decently two days ago. I will try feeding it

He did better for about a day, then unfortunately passed. RIP. Thanks for the help.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
