This Treasure Chest contains one smasher brick red mantis shrimp, live sand, live rock and live food.

This shrimp is approximately 2.5" and originated from the Tampa Bay Saltwater farm.
The Wennerae's common color is a deep forest green, occasionally we see this brick red/deep orange coloration.

So, would this be considered an albino or leucistic mantis, given that the chitin is unpigmented. Does it still have chromatopores on it's antennal scale?

Hiya, thanks for chiming in. We see this brick red/orange coloration often (another one below) and the dark green variation is common. Would not consider them albino. Note photos above for antennal scale coloration.

Still super shy, but I've seen her a couple times!

I hear her more than see her, but last night I was treated to actually seeing the flash of a cavitation bubble collapse when she 'hugged' a hermit crab.
