I've now had 2 wrasse completely vanish.
Clearner wrasse vanished without trace.
And yesterday flasher wrasse.
I took the cover off for a few minutes and on return the fish was gone.
I searched high and low. Fish was nowhere to be found.

Sorry to hear this.

Fish in our tank can die, and within a few minutes, gone because our CUC ate it.

With that being said, I have a few questions to ask you.

- What does your CUC consist of?
- Any aggressive fish?
- Did you have any live rock in your tank, if so, where did you get it from?
- Do you have any anemones in the tank?

This fish was fine. It stays near the top. Notorious for jumping.
If something ate it it did so in 10 minutes.
Yes - It's possible it could have jumped, I just expected you had a lid on your tank if you had a jumper.

Any animals in the house like a dog or cat?

I do have a lid. I took it off to get a WaveMaker out to clean and forgot to put it back on.
I'd still expect to find the fish on the floor nearby.
No other animals inside

Maybe Houdini may mysteriously reappear like magic?
I wrote one off, found alive, 3 weeks or so later….
He’s either outside the tank, inside the tank, or now part of the nitrogen cycle…time should tell.

Yes - if you don't have any pets in your house, you should be able to find the fish on the ground.

Have you checked your sump yet if you have one?

Otherwise I would assume something ate it in the tank wether it was dead or alive.
