The tank, all full of life, happy, healthy. My duckweed factory.

That was a wile ago. Then yesterday tragedy struck.

This is my oldest continuously running tank now with one, maybe two neocaradina shrimp and a snail.

The background is lava rock, substrate is five-year-old seachem (maybe) planted tank substrate and the hardscape is some kind of rock from the petcosmart., cheaper planted tank light (finnex I think) and a sponge filter.

So here is the question: I now have a fairly empty tank, do I put killifish and more neos (costs money but I like my duckweed factory), take it down (well that's just no fun), or turn it salty for a small nem tank (may cost nem money)?

Both options sound great- but clearly you luv the duck factory so maybe just a wee little ESHOPPS Deskmate for the nem tank. Hehe

I like where your head is at, but if i'd die after buying a tencour diy tank, it would happen even faster after an eshopps. as good as it would look.

I’m looking for a metal 4 ft stand for my build any around for my 4 ft 75 gal? And I got t5 fixture 4 sale.
Not sure about the availability of a stand. There is probably someone local who can make one, or you can order pre-cut t-slot aluminum. If you can build Ikea furniture, you could get the stand.

Sorry to hear. I was super bummed when I lost my first Foxface. They're cool fish.

In other Foxface news - I kept seeing bite marks on mine and couldn't figure out what was going on... Looks like my Starry attacks him when the pellet feeder dumps and he's eating. Foxface doesn't seem too beat up, just a few little nips at the side and fins. He doesn't even flare up or react...

thanks. I hate to lose any fish, and he was definitely a cool one. Now I'll have to manually remove bubble algae! the horror!

Really sorry about your Foxface.. maybe you’ll win the giveaway and get to order a new one from Dr. Reef ;)
Here's to hoping. Gotta morn the first before I get a second though.

Who'd win in a fight bubble algae or sunset monti?

Yes. I've seen it both ways. Depends on how quickly they grow. I've watched hair algae destroy a Mystic Sunset and I've watched a different Mystic Sunset grow over hair algae and another it.

Like @tbrown said: it could go either way.
