Also, this is a common problem with LEDs. I love my LEDs, but everyone I know that keeps awesome acans have t5s or run a combo of LEDs and t5s.

Well I would love to find the exact cause. (this is why I was asking what in the water to look for).... But, changing out the 12k bulb has made a difference. A few have had some green and yellow start to show up

I'm trying to help. If you think it's the light then maybe start moving it in different depths and see if it makes a difference good luck

I also agree with sps I've seen acans do the switch to orange / red from rainbows under a variety of lighting so its worth looking into anyway.

I'm not in the bit of bashing a light but if you really care about color and not controllability and saving energy t5 and mh is where it's at.

Me too... I would like to figure out how to get those original colors back out of them.... As I said earlier... The area that's shaded will normally still have the rainbow coloration.

To keep acan color under LED they need to be under less than 60 PAR. So very indirect in the shade.

I think the post earlier about you parameters was not knocking you about your water quality but just saying that you have a totally different system and parameters that could cause a color shift, which is my opinion also. I have received an all red acan colony from a friend that colored up to rainbow acan under leds

Was solid red

I have green and purple stripe acans and they keep the green. It seems to be the rainbows that have the biggest color shift. I would never go back to mh. Couldn't pay me to. T5 I could always liked them.

Looks like your only pulling rainbow colors on the shaded areas also
