I’ve had this hippo tang for 3 years and he’s been very hardy. I noticed him acting different a few days ago, checked the water parameters, everything good, but he continued acting off/lying on the rock/not swimming around as much. Then I woke up this morning and he died does anyone know what could have happened? Will my other fish and coral be next??

Often hard to determine with a dead carcass. I see some hemorrhaging and can stem from bullying/ aggression, disease and injury as examples. I see some fin damage and need more info.
Was fin damage noticeable prior to loss?
Any heavy breathing or loss of appetite?
Weird or lethargic behavior?

These fish spook easily and dart into rocks and damage mat have occurred from such activity. The concern I have is, if there are other fish in the tank, should there be an underlying issue- they too will be affected. I recommend quarantining them, do a major water change and leave tank without fish (fallow) for at LEAST 45 days and treat the remaining fish with coppersafe for 30 days and follow with Praziquantel for 2 weeks

How large was this fish? It sure seems small to me, but I don't have a frame of reference other than the net.

The damage to the dorsal fin could have happened after death, but it could have also been the root cause. Did you see ANY fin damage before it died?
