Tank is mixed reef with bottom half LPS/zoas/acans with SPS on top. I have been running (3) XR30 over my tank on the Reef Dudes program (thank you) at 40% of the schedule. Truthfully this is just a random number I picked without any real direction or knowledge of what this means.

Recently I have downloaded Blaxsun's and WWC's LPS schedules and am considering making a change.

Should I be running these programs at 100% of the schedule?

Been experiencing shrinking ricordia mushrooms, melting acans, browned out SPS and closed up LPS (these may also be attributed to a recent battle with ich using Polylabs Medic and Ruby Rally Pro) lately and it has got me wondering.

My template is @75% schedule intensity based on XR15/30s mounted at RMS (or equivalent) height for a roughly 2' deep tank - so I wouldn't run at a higher value unless you have a deeper tank (nor would I run @75% if you have a shallower tank).

Tank has 24" deep water with lights at 8" above water level.

Sounds like 40% schedule is really low?

I run my template at 75% for the same specs, so yes - very low (when I ran my XR30s on a lagoon I had them set to 45%).

Thank you. Sounds like I don't understand what schedule % actually means.

I thought it was the a reduced % of the template intensities.

Radions have 3 intensity settings: a) the individual LED channels, b) the main intensity (at the top, above the UV LED) and then c) the overall schedule intensity (bottom).

c overrides b which overrides a (if that makes sense).

I run 4 xr15 blue on the ab+ schedule. 100% all channels and 100 intensity.
Tanks 16" but only 12.5" to the rack.
I also run a quanta meso blue bar that gives me another 100 par.
Started at 50% and now full power
Tanks all acros.
200 on the bottom 350 mid 500 just under the surface. Add 100 for the blue bar.
I would start at 100 on all channels and set schedule to 50% and increase if needed.
My 80 for reference.

If I turn mine up over 80% intensity they over heat and shut off.. hmmmm

This is what I am seeing now:
Screenshot_20230724_155236_Mobius.jpg

Nearest blue dot shows this:
Screenshot_20230724_155411_Mobius.jpg

So the (A) individual colors are mostly blues, little green, some red and a little white. (B) main intensity is 66% and (C) is 53%.

Does 53% schedule actually mean 53% of the 66% intensity?

Maybe rent a par meter? Otherwise your pretty much guessing IMO Settings that others use are a good starting point but every tank is a little different as far as layout water clarity etc.
I am currently searching for a local reefer to let me rent/borrow one. My regular LFS doesn't have one.

Yes. The shaded area is actual; the blue dots represent maximum potential @100% schedule.

So I have been running them REALLY low. How quickly/slowly do you recommend that I increase the schedule % and to what % should I look to achieve?

Yep (lower than I had mine set to on 14" lagoons). I would probably ramp it up by 10% daily until you hit the desired schedule. I can't say what that would be without a PAR meter for any template but mine, though (I ran the PAR numbers based on 75% schedule at peak).

On your current system I would start at 100% all channels and set scheduled to 30% and increase 10% a week. A par meter is your best bet to determine levels in your system though.
Your system is new with bright white rocks so patience is key.

Not as white of rocks as my last update but you are correct that it is still a young system. Patience is very difficult.

I really do owe an update to my build thread. Here's the latest pics I have:

Thank you. I will look to increase the schedule % accordingly.
