Hi All,

So I have one of my rock islands in my Waterbox Frag 125 dedicated to the GSP I have had and is growing well over the last 6 months. My LFS just gave me some ‘neon Xenia’ (front of image) which is a LOT brighter and I think it looks better but I just have it on a small piece of rock at the moment. If I add this to the same rock as the current GSP, what is likely to happen and is this a wise idea???

Thanks all as always!

Chris.

I'm going to say they will be fine, I've had this happen with a few corals not gsp but similar situation and the corals did fine.

They should be fine. But you mentioned one looks better than the other one?
IMO the one that looks better will be overgrown by the other.
Happens every time.

They will compete for space and one will grow over the other. I have a rock that has two varieties of GSP. Neon green and Teal. The teal started growing over the green. When I peeled back the teal mat, there was dormant GSP under it.

Brilliant thanks for the info! It was a free coral so if the new one takes over the rock great, if the old one wins so be it.

Haha yeah always the way. I'll move it to the rock, hope it wins but if not so be it!
