Looks great Josh. Thanks for posting that video.

How old is your system?

Any idea the PAR on your bottom tank while running your LEDs on blues?

Thanks!

@joshporksandwic

Do you ever get some random zoanthids or paly just close up and shrink and become skinny while others are doing super good? And if it happens what do you normally do? If you don't mind show me some tips.

Thanks.

It happens to me all the time. Luckily i have 3 tanks and I just move it to a different tank. Sometimes things just die and wherever you put it it welts away. Sadly we really don't know everything.

Thanks!

I know you dose Alk and Ca. I do as well (albiet barely any Ca). I presume you dose Ca since your system is all plumbed and that top tank needs it, but do you find your zoa's need Ca at all? I cannot think of why they would, I dose it simply to maintain NSW levels, but I wonder if the intense alkaline algae growth in my display and frag tanks inhibit zoa growth on rocks and plugs?

Also, do you dose Alk while your lights are out or 24/7 split throughout the day? I have always just dosed equal parts throughout the day using a auto doser, but last night changed to when the tank is dark to try and bring balance to my pH. Any experience with pH swings and zoas for you? Think we can all agree Alk swings are no good for them.

Again, thanks for your input!

I never check my PH, I dose alk during the night and calcium during the day. i break it into 4 separate doses. I've always kept a mixed reef so i wouldn't be able to tell you if no other chemical is needed. I have sps, montis, acans, chalices. I post mostly zoa pics but i have a bit of everything.

Your frag tank looks great Josh
Hey man!!! you alive? where you been?
