[Hey , I would like some feedback on the stand I'm going to build.

It's for a 125g AGA with 72x16 footprint.

The stand I'm making will be 72x24 footprint so one wall of the tank would hang up in the air if I make just a regular box stand. To prevent this I'm adding another beam across the length of the stand in the middle that will go under the front wall of the tank.
Question is if I just make a box and put one or more layers of say plywood on the top would that remove the need for that middle beam across? of if I do make it with middle beam, would adding a layer of plywood on top be of any benefit at all? I guess it would spread out weight to front of the stand as well that way?

As far as lumber - top frame is made out of 2x8 which suppose to support 125g tank without the need for center leg, and the rest is 2x4. Initial design is from a long thread on RC.

And here are some pictures of how tank will sit and then the stand from a few different angles.

Any thoughts? :)

Thanks !
