My first island mixed reef build

Hello all, name is Jeremy and I'm just getting back into the hobby after about a 4 year hiatus. This will also be my first time with sps. (wish me luck)
I started this tank about the middle of January so she is hitting the 2 month mark.

45 gal display (reef)
35 gal secondary display (currently pod refuge, probably seahorses in future)

(Currently working on stand, pics later of progress)

Soon to be plumbed in
10 gal display
10 gal display
20 gal sump (2 10 gal)

Update...
I got the base of my stand up, tank is going to be on the left in final configuration to make room for access hatch on right to access the sump and protein skimmer in back right corner.

Also got 3 new coral, the Ponape birdsnest had a little branch break off, so i glued it to a plug.

Update

The Ponape didn't make it... Guess the trip from Florida was to much for it.

On the bright side, the pink birdsnest

And the orange and purple chalice seem to be doing great

The chalice's feeding tenticles on all 2.5 mouths emerged today as well as polyp extension on the pink bn.

I also noticed a new growth button on my digitata where i broke a small arm about 2 weeks ago.

Was finally able to find approximate par levels for my light. Sadly, it appears i need stronger light or more rock.

Ic loop is current, thinking about getting a marine pro to add to it. Probably a 24" as that's all i can find as lamp only, but that will improve par levels in half the tank [emoji38]

Today's project, a adding a couple dividers to a 10 gal (final sump stage, return tank/ATO) and resealing my hexagon...

Its a sad moment in this tanks life. Due to my (now ex) ol lady being crazy, I had to do a tank swap yesterday (was using her tanks as i lost most of mine a little while ago). She was going to take a bat to them.

I'm glad i resealed my hexagon the other day...

It looks like i am going to lose some coral due to the transfer[emoji22] [emoji22] [emoji22] I just hope it's not a total whipeout...
