day 109 the Uv has been kicking butt with bacteria and dinoflagulattes, even with small cell amphidinium being sand loving. This is what we did.
•Sand cleaning into a 5 micron filter sock then return the water into the tank.
•Daily blasting of dinos off the rocks
•11w uv running 24 hours a day for 2 weeks
•constant dosing of nitrates and phos to keep them at 10ppm nitrate and 0.1ppm phos ( phos is consumed so quickly and all drop is noticible until it stabilises)
•skimmer places high to just skim minimally but heavily oxygenate stil (helps with bacterial blooms)
• added and orange lipped conch
• going to add an algae blenny again
Additives used are oceamo kh (from reef quest.co.uk)
Phosphate+
Nitrate+ and zero water changes from the last month.
Future changes will be at 10% when nutrients go above target levels
And trim the macro up as it’s growing wildly lol
