Tank (75gal) has been up for around 5 months now. All Marco Rocks except for one that I brought from my old tank that was 1.5 years old (upgraded after moving). Was wondering what algae this was? Is it really just diatoms still? I have a handful of Astreas and Ceriths that seem to be eating it...
I cleaned the glass a couple days ago and they seem to come back every time… is there something that eats this stuff??
Yes I know I need to clean out my back chamber area … will be doing that soon
What is this stuff?
Hi everyone, I’ve been having a lot of trouble managing this algae. I’ve done manual removal, water changes, increasing nutrient import, decreasing it. The algae blows off the rocks, but there’s also a dusting on the sand. Might be hard to tell in the light, but it appears brown/grey in white...
I can't find any other algae that looks remotely similar. Has anyone ever seen algae like this?
It grows in long vine like strands along the rock and has spread across all my rocks. Easy enough to remove with tweezers but can never remove all of it.
Thanks.
Hey Everyone, so this is my first tank and I've had it up and running now for about 3 months. I know that I am entering the ugly stages but still would like to know what types of Algaes I currently have so that way I know if I need to take action or keep doing what I am doing and let it run its...
Hi,
Need help ID'ing this nuisance algae in my tank. It starts as a small round bump, then appears to start growing a stalk/stem. It is a light green/yellow color and can apparently grow with next to no light as its inside of caves in my rockwork. Please help!
I'm thinking maybe bubble algae...
Hi everyone, I’m helping a friend with their algae problem but I would appreciate some help trying to identify what we’re up against. The tank looks much better now, I took out all the rocks and gave them a good scrub, they stay clean for about a week and the main issue is the red slime algae...
Hey guys I'm still relatively new to the Reefing hobby. I got this algae starting to just cover my rock work and think the substrate as well. Can you guys please help me identify exactly what algae this is.
Can't tell if it's Dinos or maybe some type of cyano.
