    Sand sifting conchs vs cucumbers

Both of these species are commonplace in reef tanks as the residential sand cleaners, what species do you prefer for your tank, and why? Personally, I am a fan of conchs just because I tend to see them out and about above the sand bed and their little eyeballs are just adorable.

    Sand stirring inverts

Hey guys will nassarius do a decent enough job of turnover to prevent my sandbed from becoming a solid mess of algea? I have some in my 32 biocube and a sand sifting conch and my sand is beautiful. In my 16G I only have a smaller conch and he doesn’t do enough to keep the sand clean at all. It’s...

Will a sand sifting goby get hurt by urchin spines in the sand?

My sea urchin dropped a few spines after a waterchange shock. The spines are not that many but I can see some laying at the sandbed. Can my sand sifting goby get hurt if it shifts through the spines?

Something in Sand Killing Diamond Watchman Gobies

I have a question for the Reefing community, my boyfriend and I have had a reef tank a little over a year almost two now and within the past 6-7 months have added a lot of NPS, mainly gorgonian/sea fans to our 125 gallon reef tank. Ever since we've been trying to add a dependable clean up crew...

    Pico tank CUC questions...

Hey all, A few months back I decided to jump back to the saltwater world after sitting the bench for about 11-12 years. I was able to repurpose an old Fluval 2.6 that I had used for a freshwater shrimp tank. The tank has cycled and is stock, minus some media in the back and a Kessil A80. I've...
