Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
So I siphoned as many if the dinos that I could out of my tank. What I did was mount a filter sock in the sump, and have the water run right through it, directly back to the sump, so I could go for as long as I wanted without worrying about buckets or anything.

My corals aren't looking the best, but that's because my mag and ca are very low. I have stuff coming tomorrow to raise both of those, and then on Wednesday I have All For Reef coming. From my understanding, I should raise my mag first, then do ca?
Yes get your calcium and magnesium up to the level you want it at and then add All For Reef and it will help maintain it at those levels.

Yes you can raise them together, but it's important to maintain the correct ratio between the two, you should adjust them proportionally to avoid precipitation issues.

@luis angel Luis, what's the calcium carbonate for? It's almost impossible for me to keep up with everything as tight as I used to. What are you hoping to do with it buddy affect ph? I use it in my beer brewing to boost my yeast activity for better alchohol production

Isn’t all for reef a complete formula?
Meaning that it has calcium and magnesium in it together?
I really wish you would do what I suggested.
You will save yourself so much heartache.

Yes, but it's meant to maintain levels, not increase them from my understanding.

Don't worry, I have stuff coming!

As Walker says, it's to keep the parameters you want but first you have to take everything where you want it and then you start with the all for reef.

It is a flocculant that binds the smallest particles and makes them larger so they can get trapped in the filters. Basically to keep your water crystal clear.

Oh okay that product is new to me sorry I didn’t see the other post my bad guys please forgive me.

This is new to me and doesn’t make sense sorry.
I will go educate myself and sit in the corner now with my dunce cap.

Don't worry, we are here to learn. I have never used it, that's why I asked Walker if he could post the results because it is an interesting product for me to have greater stability.

Mike @Nor'easter Reefer post a good thread about it the other day, les't see if he post it again

Stuff? As in poly filter and test kit and Nitrate and Phosphate? lol
I hope that is what you have coming…lol

I must have missed that post.
This thread is becoming difficult for me.
Especially because it keeps glitching starting to make me angry and I might have to take a break until it is fixed.
Sorry guys I have to go do some breathing exercises.
I’ll try again later before I start to embarrass myself with uncontrollable rage.
I can feel myself starting to get angry.
