I've never looked into pricing these cuz I've never had room for any. I've seen them in other tanks they're beautiful. :star-struck:
Do they split and make babies?
Honestly know nothing about them.

I wonder if there is a way to make them split whenever you want. Let’s say one of them is getting super big. It you want it to split into 4 how could you do it?

My plan is to grow them out like crazy and have them split a lot and sell them locally. Might be a dumb idea but I will give it a try

How big do they get, do they take over a tank, best tank parameters etc, probably all good questions. :):)

Here’s what I know but @kevgib67 can answer these better.
They grow moderately fast and can reach sizes of one foot in diameter, although growing to this size is somewhat rare. They can split a lot and take over tanks if you don’t keep them under control.

I don’t know the exact parameters they like but in my tank I cannot worried!

2 small nems 1-2 inches - 1 of these is for free.

Aren’t rainbow bubble tip nems super expensive?

Nope. I usually sell mine for $20-25

No. They often split when they are unhappy. They can split when happy too, but when they split frequently, that usually indicates they are in survival mode...

Almost 9 months.

You can try to kill them... Seriously, they will split when they want. I would not expect to make a lot. If they are happy and healthy (which is what you want, right?), they will find a place in the tank and hang out for a while.

Oh ok. Of course I want the best for them lol. I don’t think I can try and hurt them something I won’t do.

I have other nems in the tank that have grown a lot but haven’t split. I have been waiting for that day,

Size does not really predict when they will split. I had 2 - one very large and one small to medium and the large one never split, but the smaller one did.

Sorry Charlie, other than rfas I have never had a nem. I’ve never looked into them. Was always worried about the moving and stinging or they would move to the back side of my rock and host my clowns and I would never see my clowns. They are beautiful though. Once again I’m offering a big goose egg!

Mine when she was a baby. Ended up with 6. Never had a split until my clown decided she loved it. I have none now. I gave them all to my lfs when they were going to cut hours in hard times last year. It was the right thing. I knew I would be taking my tank down and it would be best for the animals anyway.
