Patience
Here is my little tank in August.

It's looking a bit different today.
I changed the lighting. Not sure if I'm happy with it at all. Might go back to the led fixture I bought.
It's water change day,every Monday.

This is it right now. Very white.
Nothing in here cares about the lighting except me.
I paid $10 for the LTA, everything else was free. I knew nothing about corals 2 years ago so I'm winging it.
Hopefully someone will read all this and it will help them too.
I don't dose anything, really. Just IO water changes.
I run phos at zero nitrate was 23.4 last week. Hoping to get that down then use algae scrubber to maintain.
We will see.
More later.
Awesome tanks, I really like your approach.
I was contemplating on setting up easy stuff like this for my newest display.
Zero phosphates, I’m assuming the GSP is keeping it under control.

Thanks I appreciate it.
I do run a small amount of gfo but I don't think any tank really runs at zero.
I just figure if I don't really have anything really using it up I don't really need it.
Everything seems much happier with it at zero.
It's not overly complicated what I do so I really do appreciate your kind words.

So you're the one to call me out? Lol
I will post some of my embarrassing bodybuilding pics as well .. I will be 45 this year. That’s why I picked up this hobby! Being a bodybuilder reminds me of this, the diet needs to be almost perfect & the dedication!

I've done a ton of research on soft corals and whether they use either phosphate or nitrate.
They must use some in small amounts, but all of the growth I've had is with 0 phos.
Hope that is useful.

Thanks, that’s why I love this marine fish/coral hobby , because I think it takes the same amount of discipline - if not a lot more! Also, the people that surround you like yourself on this site!
We are horrible influences!
