Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Me too. I think about reef things while cooking all the time.
I think about cooking while I’m reefing, is that weird?

You test for magnesium then?
Yes, the torches, hammers and frogspawn rock out when magnesium is at 1400 or a little higher.

What do you use to raise it?

Yes we are weird together. :grinning-squinting-face:
That's what I do all day at the restaurant.

What do you use to raise it?
Fritz RPZm magnesium, I add it to the fresh mix of salt water when I do a water change.

So I have this weird question to ask you.
I have red cyno growing on the back glass only where the return pumps water down into the tank.
Is that possible, am I imagining it and why?

@Reef Devils what are you doing and what are you testing for?
I test alk, cal, and mag on the Neptune trident. I also test it every once in a while on my Hanna checkers to make sure the trident is accurate.

I test nitrate and phosphate once per week on Hanna’s.

I have a Red Sea doser that doses alk, cal, and mag.
It doses 5ml of alk every day. But I don’t dose cal and mag much. Usually a water change can take care of that.

Let me know if you got questions about that.

That's very impressive.
I did not know you were so advanced in your testing methods.
That's awesome. :)
