I don’t have any new bio balls. I have a bunch in the big tank. Should I put some into the small filter?

What should I test for?
I don’t think anemones consume calcium and mag so can I skip out on that?
Just test alk and nitrate

Always nitrate/phosphate and PH.

Alk/cal/mag later once I start to restock tank with corals/fish

EDIT; just saw Joel’s post on testing - do what he said.

I’m stepping out of this one, too many cooks in the kitchen and u don’t need the newb like me

Ph hard in small tank like that.

I have one of those ammonia alert things on the glass.
I always for get about ph. I never really worry about it lol

@Calmwaters , in my 19 years of reefing I can’t recall aptasia multiplying that rapidly or being on my glass, plastic and rock yes. I really can’t make out anything in your pictures but I have seen dozens of pictures of hydroids on glass, google those and see if they are a match.
