well I am glad your ok... I looked at the pic you posted, maybe a concrete or brick paver floor area around the pit, and like you said relocate all the unburned wood pile away from the area....I look forward to glow in the sky sometime soon...I am sure the aliens are upset....or perhaps they tried to communicate with you and help you make a bigger fire to gain your trust and they messed up...
