It's funny how food trends change. We thought we were stepping in high cotton to be able to choose what we had for dinner vs everyone eating the same thing.

Typically I would try and find the source and correct it while increasing water changes and reducing feeding. Often it is leaching from the rock and needs to balance out. If it is affecting my corals, if I know myself, I would probably go into panic mode and use something like phosphate-E for a quick fix but continue looking for the long term fix. It sucks watching corals go down hill!

I have high phosphate since I test it around 1 (keep it for 3 months) and nitrate at 10. I have very small ugly phase, corals open the only thing I noticed is no growth. I reduce feeding no impact, I cleaned wave maker and check no rust magnet. Now I put rowa phos I reduce slowly to 0.25 to not bottom it. Either rocks leaching, or blue floss I kept in the sump or didn't clean properly my socks (I bleach them yesterday for the 1st time). Nitrate didn't change.

I would reduce to about .1,.09 with rowa/gfo.
Pull gfo and test regularly. Keep it about there. .25 is pretty high, at least for me.
Everything else should work itself out.

I use Hanna for alk/nitrate/phosphate.
API for calcium/ph.
I really only test nitrate and phos, ph every other week for fun it is usually pretty steady.
What is your specific gravity at?
At 1.026 your going to test differently than at 1.023 for calcium/alk.
Advice given above is spot on.
If I ever have a problem that doesn't involve food, I test all water sources/additives/salt mixes etc. To identify source before measures taken. :smiling-face-with-smiling-eyes:
If I can't figure it out I go from there.
Easy to overthink everything in this hobby.
I'd get ammonia source/cycle going just test for nitrate for now keep salt level and temperature consistent.
