Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I'm not getting my notification s and it's doing that thing where sometimes I go out and come back and the messages are in a different order or there are additional messages that were not there before.
It's a hot mess. I been scrolling liveaquaria trying to figure out how to spend my gift card thinking "they all got real quiet real fast" lol turns out i just never get notifications unless I'm tagged

I got you Amanda!
I don't want to bring the group down but for those of you that pray can you keep me in your prayers. There is a chance I might have cancer in my lady bits and I'm scared.

It's very true. I struggled when my brother was in the hospital last summer. My Dad was a wreck, my whole family was spiraling and I felt like it was my job to be "the man" and burry it down and get everyone through it. Luckily my wife was there at 3am and caught me spiraling. We aren't meant to live our lives alone.
I noticed this with my dad last summer, when my grandfather went into the hospital and ended up passing away. It wasn't an easy death, he had lots of health problems leading up to it, and ultimately it was a mistake on the hospital part but I am not blaming them at all. But his side of the family broke apart and was just so unstable. He had to be the "man" and keep everyone together. I was on vacation with a few other family members on my moms side when he passed, but the second I landed and my dad picked me up from the airport he broke down and lost it. Luckily I was there, and the best thing I could do was give him a hug and listen. It was heart breaking to hear how he was just bottling up all of his emotions.

When my glasscages tank arrives, i want contrasting colors next to each other. So your eyes are drawn to certain areas. I'm picturing this like art work if that makes sense
When I set up my tank I tried to set my rock work up in accordance to the fibonacci sequence and studied the color wheel. (Like a nerd) But there is definitely something to all that and how your wye falls on a scene.

I really did miss you all while on vacation.
I missed that you were going on vacation at first. I thought Kevin ran you off, I was genuinely aggravated at him about this one.

I get it. It's rough.. my mom made it more difficult (my parents divorced in like 2001 I think) so he thought she was being dramatic and we got a call to go down to Boston (4ish hours south) and he thought it was a talk about how she wants more help when they come home. To be fair, under any other circumstances that was a fair assumption. I had to tell him this was most likely the "this treatment is a shot in the dark, last ditch effort and might not work" talk. He lost it in my driveway when I had to break the news. I think he knew, but couldn't accept it.

Kev does have a tendency to scare people off, but it's a true test of character. The ones that stay are solid :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:

I wish I could help you. September 1st is 32 years of doing this.

I have a sweatshirt that says "Be Kind" on the front. The back says "you don't know the demons others are facing". It's a "military" sweatshirt but it applies to everyone I meet. You don't know what the other person is dealing with and to simply be kind and understanding is a choice. I choose happiness and kindness even though I deal with demons. I don't need to take it out on others
Being kind helps us as much as it helps those we're being kind to. You don't realize it until you've lived some life and felt some pain, I think. It makes a good person want to ease the struggles of others as much as they can.

Oh wow, your old. :face-with-tears-of-joy: :zany-face: all seriousness though, you'd probably have it straightened right out if I lived in Ohio.

I have seen dirt that was younger than me! :winking-face:

Truly. I had gone through a terrible divorce and so had she. We met randomly, began talking and our paths had crossed numerous times. I think I wrote about that a couple hundred pages back. God has his own plan and I have grown to accept it and cherish it. I can honestly say, she is the best thing (I don't like that phrase) that has happened to me. Spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Same here. I met my wife in Sunday school when we were 13. It wasn't until we were 32 that we got together and had two beautiful boys. God knew what was best and his timing was perfect. Just like with you guys.
