I constantly struggle to lighten up. Im pretty easy going, and I goof around, but sometimes I'm quick to judge. I've been working on that the last few years and have made a lot of progress. Having a son has taught me a lot about patience as well

My biggest problem is I'll sometimes hold people, mostly those closest to me, to the same standard as I hold myself. Which is often times unrealistic, and when they under perform, which is honestly perfectly understandable because they don't even know the unrealistic expectations exist, i get frustrated. I've gotten a lot better though.

I want to sincerely thank you all for sharing what life has thrown your way. I commend you and respect you. I'm getting emotional reading all of this. I do apologize. Sometimes my past gets the best of me. I truly am grateful for being a part of such a caring and supporting group. You all are therapy for me. I mean that. I'll share part of military past sometime to give you a better understanding, but tonight isn't the night. Hugs to you. Yes, even the guys.

Especially the guys! Lol We spend so much time being the shield, or the wall, or hel!, whatever we are needed to be, that sometimes we need someone to say i got your back too brother. Nothing is more awesome to me than a group of grown good hearted folks that can say, life is difficult, but there is always a way to find beauty in it.

This is a truly awesome place. I remember when I first showed up i was so embarrassed of my tank setup and didn't want to post pictures and then I did and the general response was something like "that's a pretty neat setup, let's see how we can fix what you dont like, and... why were you embarrassed?" Lol

It's a work in progress! I still feel like my tank is kind of stalled out. Not as much growth as I'd like, but i think I have to work on upping my lighting.

You're so self aware. That, to me, is half the battle. Realize though that nothing is "wrong" with you. It's just part of who you are, and you can mitigate that if you are aware of it and choose to

Same here. I met my wife in Sunday school when we were 13. It wasn't until we were 32 that we got together and had two beautiful boys. God knew what was best and his timing was perfect. Just like with you guys.

December 29, is 35 years of marriage for me ( Tim’s wedding anniversary as well). We started dating the end of my senior year and her junior year. 40 years together.

My wife likes that I figured that out too :grinning-face-with-sweat: i was the kid that was freaked out on when I spilled a drop of water on the floor, so I became the perfectionist who has a melt down if I start spilling water moving frags around. So I stay out of my tank as much as possible :face-with-tears-of-joy:
