Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
My tank consumes alkalinity so slowly. I haven't Dosed anything in a week and my alk has stayed stable around 7.4dkh the entire time. I see lots of growth on my plating monti and other corals, just the monti show it the most. I have 2 test kits and both have similar results. Is this normal? I am leaving for a vacation next Saturday, the 12th, and I'm kind of getting nervous because I can't figure out this dosing thing!
My recommendation is that you at least dose 1 or 2 ml a day while you are on vacation, even if the tank don't consume it, that extra amount won't be a significant change, but in case by chance it consume a little during that time you are somewhat covered.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking of doing. I'll test that starting tomorrow and make sure everything goes smoothly.

But other than that, I should be good to go. I just got to show the dog sitter how to feed nori and frozen, and then I think that's it.

I can't figure it out either Walker. I've never dosed anything but aminos. My alk is always around 9. I do biweekly 25% water changes. I have a decent amount of corals in my tank. It almost doesn't seem normal lol

Hey Kev, how'd the solo kegger toga party go last night?
It hasn’t ended, the Mrs doesn’t get back until Sunday!

When we went to Orlando, we were there for only 3 days, but I taught my brother-in-law to feed only pellets. The day before I left, I fed the corals and frozen for the fish and it went well.

Makes no sense! I don't even do water changes....

I am going away for a week, plus I still see some white spots on the fish so I want them to stay well fed. I wish I could just use pellets haha.

I’m usually OCD about my glass but Wednesday morning a nap got in my way before I left for work. Before and after.
