Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Alright Amanda, enough is enough. It has been 72 hours without the promised pictures of your new corals! The two thugs and the panel van have been deployed.

How are you doing today?
Doing well Mike, thanks for asking. Got alot to do and I’m already behind. Trip to the grocery store for this week’s podcast of cooking with Kev, water change, get my garlic and Luis’s pepper seeds in the garden. I know I’m forgetting a few things. Have a great day!

You are though. That's all you can control. Sometimes your family is who you choose to be your family. I'm extremely grateful that you chose to be a part of this one.
I truly appreciate that John, you guys/gals do feel like family. I look forward to logging on and reading what has been posted and interacting with the group.

Beautiful tank. Everything else looks great. I doubt it's a parameter problem.

I would look toward predation or other mechanical issues, or possibly coral warfare. A shrimp may tear apart a coral for food or even consume a coral. I have had Peppermints and a Fire that tore apart hammers but I've also had lots of shrimp that never bothered a coral.

If it continues to weaken it may be best to split it but I don't like to frag corals that are already stressed.

Edit---
The exception is a coral that is STNing or a very large coral where the majority of the colony is not yet noticeably unaffected.
I’ll keep an eye on it. My shrimp usually leaves corals alone and I haven’t caught him messing with it the hammer yet. So far the rest of the hammer looks fine today. It is right next to a frogspawn. But I think those can touch each other

Where did you get that John? I may be taking a road trip down to see you. We can do some wade fishing and go eat some of that DELICIOUS looking food!

Lol edit. I asked for menudo, they sent caldo de siete meres. The lady politely told me she thought I ordered the menudo by mistake bc most people don't like the beef tripe!
Menudo is good! I like it with the homany, cilantro and onion!

Today I hired the best helper ;)

This is going to be a great day! Are you taking him for chicken fingers since it’s (chicken) Finger Friday?

I'm more of a buy it from the store and hopefully NOT put it together kind of guy... ;)
I second that! I have the patience of priest at an altar boy convention! Oh, wait, is that too much? LOL!

Maybe you all could help me out. I made a post yesterday about one of my hammers. I never got any responses about it so that kinda annoying. But anyways I have a hammer that I have had for a long time that has a great flesh band and a bunch of baby heads coming in. It has looked great for so long until now. 2 days ago one of the heads just started falling off. Not sure why. Just want to know if I should maybe drag it into two pieces? Would that help?
I would definitely frag off the dying head or heads. Euphyllia are finicky and they can do that for no apparent rhyme nor reason.
