Do you guys think if I bought another hob filter for a fuge but this hob also had a skimmer it would do more work then the current skimmer which is currently deactivated for pouring water all over my stand, floor and possibly caused the stray? See photo below obviously something bigger.

That type of skimmer is for surface scum. I suppose you could use it as a refugium. You can actually buy hob refugiums. I just think two hobs running specific, mechanical, biological, and chemical filtration would be more efficient. But yes, anything would be better than your non functional skimmer.

She gets the good "homecooked" stuff in Texas Kevin! That's one thing I miss about Texas, that and real BBQ!

I'm not a homegrown Texan I had never had an enchilada until about 8 years ago

Both my wife and daughter have anxiety so I completely understand.
You're young Camden so seek someone to talk to so this doesn't cripple your life later.
This is a great place to air all of those worries and you can use us as your therapist if you need be.
On the electrocution side of things, I won't tell you the whole story TLDR but I had a tank overflow and stepped onto the carpet next to it and was shocked all the way through my body, head to toe and I only lost a little bit of hair.;)
You'll be fine.

Just a surface skimmer on that one.
All the hobs with skimmers are junk.
Except there is one with everything, hob and it's reputed very good.
It's made by aqua ready.
Amazon or BRS has it but it's a little spendy.
I know a sump is a no go so I would look for an internal skimmer, just put it in the tank.
Tunze makes one.
They're very good and they overflow back into your tank, not the floor.

Yes , I have heard that the Taxans have mastered the art of barbecuing. I never met anyone who came back from Texas and didn’t rave about the barbecue. Almost makes up for the Coney Island sauce that they refer to as “chili.”

Did you ever find the hair you lost Joel? I had a similar experience when I was put in the psych hospital. Before my lobotomy they used to put electric pads on my temple to send an electrical current through my brain.

Right there... that explains it! Reminds me of a scene from the movie "Strange Brew"! If you haven't seen it, you should. It's an older movie... like 1983. I remember watching numerous times when I was in high school.

Did you do any water changes? I'm having a similar problem with my return pump, but it's due to the silencer. I need to find a way to remove it and make it not make noise, but I don't know how.

Not yet, I was busy yesterday and then I had bad allergies so I was too tired to do one when I finally sat down. I'm going to try to do a 10% WC today. I've always read that water changes can make it worst, since it throws off the balance even more? However, I'm pretty desperate as I can't see my fish unless they swim up <6in to the glass.

I've always read that water changes can make it worst, since it throws off the balance even more? However, I'm pretty desperate as I can't see my fish unless they swim up <6in to the glass.

I had a bacterial bloom after my great nephew begged to feed the two clown fish, well, after he dumped the entire container in the tank... I had a terrible bacterial bloom the next day. I waited 48 hours to see if it would clear after siphoning out as much as I could, cleaning filters, etc... I ended doing probably a 90% water change. I left enough water for the clowns to lay on their side while I refilled the tank. It affected nothing living in my tank... water was crystal clear after that. Lesson learned? Yup, don't let your great nephew feed the tank!!

Kind of, it's more of a silly comedy. Only thing I can compare it to would be something like dumb and dumber, step brothers... those kind of movies.
