Well, I was actually going to post something reef related but when the YT of Grant Green ended, YT decided to start a one of my favorite albums Aja from Steely Dan. So here it is much later.
I got a care package from Luis yesterday with a healthy supply of Ciprofloxin. Thanks Luis.
I went back and read a bunch of the Cipro threads and decided on a mixed approach. I made up a 100 ml batch of 10mg/ml Cipro (the more or less standard every-other-night dose) and overdosed by one ml last night to kick start it. I'm going to do every night instead of every other night but with a standard dose starting tonight.
The lights aren't up enough to see anything positive but I don't see anything that is worse. Since the trumpet, peach and plum hammers and blue torch were all looking better anyway I may not see much, if any, difference. The green hammer will be where I'm most likely to see something as it is just a little 'off'. I have zero hope for the gold Indo torch as it was already 90% gone.
I'm confident that my tank has acrobacter at the moment. In fact my thinking is that there is always some acrobactor in a tank with LPS but that it is confined. I think that the stress caused by the Indo torch getting dragged across the sand opened it up for infection that spread. Dipping isn't going to fix a tank once it starts to spread.
I'll let you know how it goes.
