yes. that rock down to the bottom as an island in the open spot. you could even plant a torch on it.

Do it during a bigger water change. Drain the water enough to get a screen in there, test it, refill it.

Beginning to look into overflow boxes. Expensive and a bit complicated but I can do it. I wanna avoid drilling. If i were to drill I'd save up for years and buy a RedSea that already has a built in overflow.. love those tanks by the way. I don't think my dad would approve of drilling and I think it would be too much of a daunting task for us. While I would love to drill and get the ugly equipment out I just don't think its the best idea.

Is there gonna be too much pressure on the back panel? Remora+overflow.
Could the stand not take the the weight of the sump.. collapse?
Of course the Remora at some point is going to be replaced but everything with a sump is EXPENSIVE. Most of this is going to come around January through Febuarary. The plan is to buy everything except for the sump itself online either used or new.

This one? There's room, and I do have some zoas i don't want spreading. I also had a little bit more rock designated for islands. I know my wife does want a zoa island. So I'm torn. Because I almost fell like I have too much rock lol

oh dear lord, that isn't what they are saying... You could go to a pet store that carries Marineland tanks... most places do, even Walmart and do it there. Again, the only pane on Marineland tanks are the bottom pane, it is a way to cut costs in manufacturing.

I still think you are putting the cart in front of the horse Camden. I would start with large water changes each week and pulling your rocks out one at a time and scrub them. You need to get your nutrients under control. A sump will not lower your nutrients. Good husbandry will.
I understand you want this 'fixed' quickly, but your tank is going to take a lot of time and patience to get leveled out.
