Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I have a basic study I have conducted with adding phyto to your tank, in respect to lowering nitrates and phosphates. It may be a shocker, but refrigerated phyto after 2 days in the fridge is useless to lowing the nutrients. but should be still good for corals and pods. I read a few posts that stated this and applied that to what I seen in my water testing. You all do know I run my own phyto cultures. So dosing phyto is not a problem for me as though I thought. to keep this a short read, this is one a few posts

I know I have mentioned that I don’t like the look of the tank with full whites. If you look hard you can see a subtle difference that makes the blue look better.

Nice tank Kevin !

Saturday night’s are rough on him. The Mrs stayed out at the lake yesterday where all the people in her family with high estrogen levels, her cousin flew in from Florida for this, converge to spend the day making kolachi. This has been going on way longer than I’ve known my wife. I didn’t have enough of a heads up to get a keg and wash my toga. 😢

What a difference on the birdsnest! The scolys couldn't care less lol. They even look good in the dark
I thought the same thing about the Scolys.

The previous generation did both walnut and apricot but since they are no longer here or not capable they make walnut only. Great with a cup of coffee in the morning.

Love apricot !

Post #2 : I have been dosing phyto 40 ml a day, started at dosing at 4 am every morning. My water testing shows a trend upwards in the nutrients. I made no changes to my dosing or maint that I do to the tank. So with that being said. I only dosed phyto straight from my cultures to the tank WHEN THE LGHTS WERE ON . The trend the nutrients were going turned around and went in the other direction. My take is: it may still be good for corals and pods, but refrigerated phyto will increase your nitrates and phosphates.

@kevgib67 we may still have a night to figure out who wants it more, I say the dawgs are hungry
Ya, my Buckeyes don’t play until New Year’s Eve and it’s to be determined. Your Bulldogs ruined my New Year’s Eve a few years ago. We had such a large lead going into the 4th quarter I thought it was over.
