Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Merry Christmas to you Garrett ! Chemiclean imo I would my opinion would be a last resort . You’ve been given some good advice but remember this is normal and as long as you have Cyano and your doing everything that you can to keep your parameters up to par especially phosphate then you have to give it time . It may not look good but it will pass in time . Did you try to blacken the glass ?
Not yet lights are off for the night tho will see how she looks tomarrow might try that next Thanks

Everything your doing is good just keep your phosphate from zeroing out while your doing this . It might take a week it might take a month either way you can get tru this and have a beautiful tank . Just give it time .

There are products like Neophos that you can use . It’s been a long long long time since I’ve had this but what I used was reef roids if you have it available it can help . It’s a coral food that is high in phosphates . If you don’t have that try over feeding with a high phosphate food . Like pellet or a flake food until you get to the pet shop .

Your light are normally on ? I thought you were blacking your tank out . No lights remember !
20 gal its refugium roids
It’s reef roids and I would say about a pinch at least 1-2 times a day . Hopefully you have a tester I would suggest a Hanna tester would be good . Test your water twice a day once in morning and once at night . Use this to try and keep your phosphates up to 0.05 to 1.

@GarrettDie4U
Just wanted to let you know I've never, ever used a chemical of any kind on any tank I've ever had.
Ever.
I've always let the tank mature on its own.
Sure, I've cleaned off cyano and run some gfo here and there but I've learned everything will run its course.
Sometimes water changes make things worse, too especially if your tank's issue is from testing zeros across the board.
Been there, done that.
Floss, paper towels, black outs are always a better, more natural way.
Hang in there.
Sometimes the uglies are just the beginning to the beautiful.
You got this 👍
