Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I was hurrying this morning to go work on the cabin. Dosed my nitrates and phospates in my tank as they are really low. And then dosed FlatwormStop. Tank looked great. Went to feed other fish.

Husband came in and asked what I dosed in the tank. Said it stunk. I noticed the tank was a little cloudy and most corals had closed up. Strange.

Opened the cabinet. Wow! My ATB skimmer was like a comedy of soap spilling out of a washer! Quickly unplugged it. There was bubbles coming out the back of the cabinet. Added a bubbler for oxygen and cleaned up the mess. All fish seem fine and eating.

Came home and pulled skimmer. Took it apart and cleaned. Returned to tank and turned it on. Overflowing again. Turned it off.

If still doing it in the morning we will do a large water change. I have used all these products regularly for some time. But I usually dose the FlatwormStop at night. Reaction of some sort.

This why I wish I could grow Acros

I have to think that some are hardier than others. I have a few. Don't know their names. But they survived through dinos. Nitrates bottoming out. Don't give up.
