Forgot to tell you , We went to Handels in Orlando and I’m sorry to say they were terrible . the one guy was smoking something because we were the only customers and it took him 25 min to make a cone and one ice cream shake . The cone wasn’t shaped right and was about to fall . He didn’t give full scoops and I got 3/4 cup of coffee ice cream that he didn’t whip . He basically put the ice cream and added milk while not whipping it . The black cherry ice cream had no cherries in it . Even though we made him fix them I seriously doubt they will be in business long . I was a little upset , they are not an exemplary Handles store and there trashing the history . I probably won’t be back . I guess when I come to Boardman will be the only time I’ll have a great ice cream .

Hey Tom did you ever figure out what you’re going to do for your tank ?

Not yet. I'm actually doing a little work on the tank right now, well between posts anyway. I want to try my overflow slot overlay but it doesn't fit. I've pulled four rocks so far that I've moved to other places. I think I'm going to Prazi Pro the tank today as the Yellow Wrasse improved a little from Iodine supplementation but it is still not doing well and I don't think it would survive capture, let alone QT. As long as I was shutting down the skimmer and UV and removing the carbon, I figured I'd go ahead and clean up the media trays and as long as I had the media trays out, pull one of the Aqua Rocks off the back wall. No idea where I will stop. I do figure I will tear it down once the wrasse situation is ended and take it to Titan and have them see what can be done, or what it would cost for something new to fit the same stand.

Chambliss has to be one of the best qbs in college football!

I definitely agree Kevin. He's extremely composed. He's so chill that he was almost too relaxed for me on our last drive lol. He only played in 9 games last year and got Heisman votes! Oddly our best receivers went to LSU so Chambliss just made stars out of the new guys

I have an honest question for you guys. I've started adding some of the boxed natural saltwater to my tank. It has really made the occupants look happy, and visually improved the entire reef. But recently I've been hearing of people that have used water they collected from the ocean themselves.

I know there are biological benefits that could even out perform some of the bottled bacteria you buy. I was thinking about going and collecting some, since I live less than a mile from the Gulf. It wouldn't be used for large volume water changes, just maybe as a method for innoculation. Im thinking something like a quart at a time. It seems to me that exposing the corals to their natural biological elements may help them to build their resistance to things that pop up in our tanks from time to time. I just don't want to overwhelm the system with it all at once.

I would collect the water as far from shore. As I could off the end of a very long pier, and let it sit for a day or so on a bubbler, to raise ph. above natural salt water ph then strain it.

Any thoughts?

I think it is fine just go to the cleanest looking water you see preferably offshore.

Avoid collecting in the middle of oil spills!

Not sure , but if you do that please let me know because I go to the ocean quite a bit and would consider the same but I’ll go out on the boat . Very curious
