Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Ok @Calmwaters per your request.
View from my couch in the front living room.
You can faintly see the top of a beer can in the lower left.
No filter. My lights run a very natural setting. This is about an hour and a half before lights out and it’s still quite white. Intensity is low as it’s ramping down.

I will need new lighting for my new tank.
@Calmwaters

Lights are more blue now, filter was used. You can see it on the sand. This iPhone camera HATES blue led and I don’t know how to adjust to it to get a decent pic. I apologize.

Love the green and purple
Tom, I’m loving these 14Ks! Corals are responding with great growth. I think it’s the whiter, more natural spectrum I run….or it’s just luck
14k's?

Yep, I bought one last night, hoping and praying it's at least sort of orange. If not, I'll fry it up like Tim's Oscar. I had a beautiful Amazeballz and it withered away for no reason I could determine. I'm a lot more capable now. Sometimes you just have to keep trying! Unbelievable selection Rock!
John I hope it does great!

Haha oh I completely understand. Imagine my torture. I'm tired of looking at it sitting there empty, but I'm having a blast with the 40 gallon. It's on a great run right now. I hope these new millepora, I ordered last night, make it. I swore off Acros for a while, but that didn't last 😆
I ordered a Battlebox. Asked him to take his time choosing. Nervous

Many people have been amazed at their Amazaeballz then dizmazed at how fast it diez out of the bluez. I’mz a fellow victimz myselfz

Shelley,

When ReefBreeders released their Meridian/Edge series of lights the Meridians where fairly blue but you could get the Edges in 14K (14K Kelvin or a blueish white) or the bluer mix to match the Meridians. A lot of people did not like the color mix very well. Later on they released a second version of the Meridian they call 'Shallow Reef' they are balanced to about the same 14k as the whiter Edges. The first release are now called 'Originals'. Rock bought a set of originals and did not like them. I bought them from him. I don't remember what he used next but then he bought a set of the new 'shallow reef' or 14k lights after they were released.

Hope that makes sense.

It does. I would love a more natural look. I need to really start looking. Or reading and taking notes.

I have to admit even now I keep a look out for a used Photon v2 pro as I think the mix was better amd my gonis did very with it or the ReeFi uno duo (I had the 2.0).

I have the ReeFi over my 40 breeder now. My crocea is thriving under it. I worry about switching lights. I really don't want it to die.

You could just get a couple more used ones. I’ve seen them on eBay recently for as little as 300-350
