Questions...is this sand fine enough for a wrasse? Also, what would be a good option to turn over/clean the sand? I've got dwarf ceriths, nassarius, florida ceriths and nerites in there, but the don't seem to be keeping up with it.

Yeah fine for a wrasse. Sand sifting sea stars. Diamond watchman goby or any sand sifting goby.

1" - 1 1/2" inch deep enough for a sand sifting star? Should have mentioned this is a newly established tank. Also what would be a good sifting goby? I have a firefish already in the tank...any problems with the goby?

Thanks!

I wouldn't put a sand sifting star in your tank or any star for a new setup. Sand sifting starfish will starve in your tank and die and mess up your water. Get a diamond watchmen goby not sure about compatibility between the 2.

Haha I saw that fish on live aquaria 2 weeks ago and thought about getting it but didn't this time. I got wrasses this time anyways I'm not sure if they will move as much sand or not. The diamond watchmen goby has a big mouth and constantly sifts the sand all day long. Thats what I would and will go with in the future and for you. I know they don't look as cool but function over aesthetics imo.
