It has taken me 3 years to collect Tonga! I barely have enough. I've given up on one more chunky branch piece.

TL,DR - 2.5 days of power from battery during an outage

So during daytime hours with the LED on, I’m getting 44 hours of battery supplies run time, and the tank is consuming 13 watts

However almost all these watts are the lights, which are only on 10 hours a day. The rest of the day/night is just the return pump, which is consuming less than 1 watt and is essentially no load on this massive battery.

Sooo…I can support tank for 44 hours of time with the tank lit

Total capacity = 44 hours of LED lit run time

44 (total run time hours) - 10 hours of run time with the lights (1 day) = 34 hours of power remaining.

Factor 14 hours of unlit time per day at .5w / hour = 7 watts of unlit time per day
34 - 7 = 27 hours remaining

Each day consumes 17 watt hours of battery life

44 (watt hour total) / 17 watt hours per day = 2.5 days of power

I do, I paid $250 + tax, it’s currently $299

Every few weeks and around holidays they randomly have a $50 coupon, or they raise the price temporarily to $350 + $100 coupon.

Seems 299 is the regular everyday price and they have various ways to make the total 250 when they do a promo or sale

Love a man with a plan. I keep telling my wife there is a reason I'm holding onto (what she calls junk) things to use later.

And after wanting a second 75g tank for years, and two failed attempts…yes I bought a aqueon 75 NEW in a petco sale and stored it for 2 years working on my plan to build a reef buying items piece by piece until I could get to a GO point and I hit that point and the 75g had frame cracks. Aqueon sent me a check to cover the purchase price under warranty. Well the sale the sale was beyond over and the tank price was double. So I went to petco and see a marineland 75 on sale, inspect it, get home, put it on the stand, all is good. 8 weeks later I have some time and I go to start the build…it wasn’t water tight and had poor seams and a slight trickle leak. I returned it and the build was put on hold again for probably 3 more years. Hey. Life gets busy sometimes. Then this year, I found…this! And of course shared it with the community and now a few of us have them!

So plan is back in action, and now I have a 75g stand, sump, and overflow for sale

Decided today the yellow tip torch is getting to large, and time to rehome to my main display

I couldn’t let the space be empty though so…a replacement has moved in. I will update once the new tenant is adjusted :)
