I have an inch think Acrylic tank, and bought a Great White Algae Magnet. Despite it's max tank thickness being 1", I find this magnet way too strong! Does anyone have a suggestion for a Magnet Cleaner? I really just want it to get the typical dusting off my tank walls, and I worry the next lighter cleaning magnet might be too weak.

I'd just put a very clean and soft wash cloth between the acrylic and magnet on the dry side of the aquarium to help ease the movement of the magnet.

I did try several layers of a quality dry cloth but to no avail... The layers undid themselves due to the friction created by the magnet.

TJ... Would it work on an inch thick acrylic tank?
