1 x MP40 vs 2 x MP10 vs 2 x Nero 5 for Reefer 250L (54G)

Hey guys,

I can't decide on what to get:

I have a 250L Red Sea Reefer, I may in time upgrade to a 525L will start with LPS, I go away often.

1 x Mp40 -17,000 LPH would be fine, but I'm worried about having too much flow on one side and not the other, and I am starting with LPS in the long term may not be best for corals just having one power head, could use if/when upgrade (I've checked online and 2 x MP40 is way too much flow for LPS or SPS in my size tank), integration with APEX, wires outside tank.

2 x MP10 - 6000 LPH Bulker than Nero 5, but has online integration with APEX, magnets don't suit 1/2" glass, battery backup option, wires on outside of tank .

2 x Nero 5 - 11350 LPH slim line, no online integration, just bluetooth, no battery backup option, wires on inside of tank, good flow.

Nero & MP10 same price $499 NZ, or MP40 $799

Welcome to reef2reef, I would vote for mp10s. They'll last forever.

I like the coral box which I have. MP10 good, but too many field issues as of late with rusting internals especially magnets and EcoTech is posing blame on owners and not standing behind warranty or product
