I don't post much but I do check the site out regularly. I wanted to show the 1 year pics of my mixed reef 135. I enjoy being a part of this community.
Almost all of the fish from last year are gone due to a nasty Ich infestation except the Humu and Niger Triggers. Humu is in a different predator only tank now. Tank was fallow for 80 days in November and December of last year to eradicate the ich. Hard lesson to learn but I am a firm believer in UV sterilizers now as the incident made me thunk down some bucks for a good Aqua Violet Classic unit. Not a single issue since installation. I do not dose anything and rely on regular weekly water changes only. This tank was an upgrade from a 75Gal Bowfront I had at my main house. The 135 is at my lake house. The 75gal was up for 6 years prior to upgrade. It was mostly soft corals only which are visible in the pics from last year. I used the rock from it but not the sand in the new tank. The SPS and LPS are all new additions from this past year. All were frags when they went in.
