10 Gallon Innovative Marine Aquarium

EQUIPMENT

stock lighting
Hydor Koralia Nano 425 powerhead
75 watt Neo-Therm heater
stock return pump
DA ReefKeeper Lite Basic

LIVESTOCK

cherub pygmy angel
gracilaria macroalgae
uvula macroalgae

I will get the frogfish/angler soon after I get the angel out of quarantine. I'm watching extra careful since I lost a fish in quarantine that I put in same time as the angel just a couple weeks after introduction. For corals I will have mostly mushrooms and zoanthids. I will also use this tank as a coral frag quarantine mainly for SPS corals.

This is the second video I've published on Youtube and it's a lot of fun. There's a lot of editing possibilities to add text and all that but it takes time to learn and it takes a long time to initially upload the video from camera to PC. A 3 minute video takes hours. Of course a real camcorder must be faster, I'm using a picture camera.

  • added coralline encrusted rock
  • added power bar 4 to RKL
  • added dosing pump 1 to RKL
  • took out Tunze osmolator nano
  • swapped Koralia 425 for a Koralia 260 and put it on back wall.
I'm still going to do a video on the RKL.

Thanks! It's such a joy to have a tank again after a year without, even if it's only 10 gallons. I'm thinking of skipping the frogfish after reading more about them. They perch on corals and can irritate them. They also produce a lot of waste which is contradictory to the principles of SPS keeping. This is foremost a frag tank for acclimating and quarantining corals and fish but will also house a small remnant of its own permanent livestock residents. Probably just one or two nano fish and a zoanthid garden, maybe a few very reef safe inverts.
