I'm currently planning an upgrade from my 80 gallon lagoon (48" x 24" x 16") to an IM 100 gallon Peninsula Lagoon EXT (48" x 30" x 16"). I never like to have to get rid of fish once established, but I also want a healthy, thriving system. I also have some fish that I know will continue to grow and outgrow my planned system. Here's what's currently in my system; albeit heavily overstocked in my opinion:
- 3" aiptasia-eating filefish
- 4.5" peppermint hogfish
- 14-16" skeletor eel
- 5-6" two-barred rabbitfish
- 5-6" Hawaiian yellow tang
- 5" spotbreast/swallowtail angel
- 3.5-4.5" Lamarck's angel
- 6" marine betta
- recently purchased tank raised regal angel, about 7"
- 2.5" flame hawkfish in a separate system (would consolidate to single larger system if kept)

I'm already in the process of rehoming my two-barred rabbitfish and yellow tang, as the two-barred is too shy for my liking and the yellow tang is just an ******. I'm considering rehoming the peppermint hogfish and flame hawkfish if need-be as well. All fish (other than the aformentioned yellow tang) are model citizens and get along great, even the angels, in their temporarily tight system. This may be helped by my heavy feeding. I'm mostly worried about bioload, and aggression in the if fish feel too cramped in the new system. For example, I know regal angels usually need a 125 G or larger, and I took a risk to see if it'd thrive in a smaller tank with a similar footprint. If it doesn't, I'd willingly rehome it. Coral is primarily an afterthought to fish for me but I currently have mostly leathers, zoas, and mushrooms. I may eventually try to add some lps if my "with caution" fish allow it.

So my question is, does a stocking list of the following sound appropriate? If not, what else would you say needs to go for a healthy system? Do the hogfish and hawkfish need to go as well? If it does seem appropriate, would you willingly add more fish or stop at what's listed?
- aiptasia-eating filefish
- skeletor eel
- peppermint hogfish
- swallowtail angel
- Lamarck's angel
- regal angel
- marine betta
- flame hawkfish

I'm very open to constructive criticism. So if you believe I'm committing some cardinal reefing sin, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Does IM still make that tank? Those are awesome dimensions!
Unfortunately they do not. I was lucky to buy it from a gentleman who had bought it new but never set it up due to some life-changing circumstances. I love the lagoon style dimensions AND it's a peninsula so there's just more to see as well. I'm super excited to set it up and get it going. I just want to make sure I'm following all the right channels for success because I've struggled before due to my own oversights.

That Angel is problematic IMO in a 16" depth tank. That's the only major concern I see. You can certainly try, but it is borderline, and it may start to show signs of stress
Thank you for your insight! What would be good things to look out for, other than generic fish stress like pacing, rapid breathing, etc? I definitely don't want to force a situation that isn't working out for the fish. Thanks!

rapid breathing and pacing IMO.
