@Randy Holmes-Farley .I wanted to use silicone wristbands for a reef tank project. I found a company that makes them in America and says they are 100% silicone. And chemically inert. In your opinion what they be reef safe. Of course it will be the ones with no print or anything on them. Thanks

What do you think your tank is made with?

Silicone between the panels.

Think you'll be fine.
I know the tanks are held together with silicone. What I’m not sure about is if it is a different type of silicone then what comes in a tube.

It’s likely fine, but it’s also likely not 100% silicone if it is colored.

The percent thing may have a lot of wiggle room as to what else is there besides silicone.

Silicone wristbands were prohibited in our satellite payload assembly area, due to "FOD" concerns. Evidently they slough off small bits.

Where do you work? My brother works at JPL and Cal Tech.

I have an assortment of Dark Red Silicone “O” Rings that I use with no problems. They are great for connecting Metric Slip Fittings to Inch Fittings.
