1000g Reef build

Started my 1000g reef build. Took 10 boxes of Caribsea base rock to come up with the scape and almost 8 buckets of salt to get the salinity up. I know it’s nothing fancy but I wanted to leave plenty of swimming space as I’m more into the fish then corals. Tank is 10’x5’x3’ It’s being controlled by Neptune equipment and lit up with 4 kessil ap700s currently. They have really good spread so the goal is a mixed reef of mainly lps corals since lighting a huge sps tank would be a hassle. The few corals in there seem to be doing great the last month so I’m gonna stick with the 4 for now and add more as needed. Fish wise I hope to have a ton of tangs in this setup. Currently have 6 of the 10 purple tangs in there, waiting for the others to finish QT. Gonna be a long ride to get the tank where I want but I don’t wanna rush it! Time to collect frags and fish.

I just started a 10x4x2.5 Do you have access from the front side of your tank? How much of a struggle are you having reaching into the tank? I'm a chubby hubby and can't believe how wet I am getting to get corals into the tank. Even with an assortment of tongs.

Reaching in is a huge struggle. I’m thinking of stacking a bunch of frags and just getting in the tank next time when I place them. Using tongs is just a pain.
