Just set up my first tank. It's been cycling for about 2 days now. Ghost feeding a shrimp. Will pull it out and try to keep ammonia at about 2ppm.

Not sure how I like the cave.. what do you all think?

Equipment:

JBJ 10g Rimless Flat Panel Aquarium
ReefBreeders Nano LED (36w)
198 gph pump
Coarse sponge
50w Eheim Jäger heater
AutoAqua Smart Temp Security (might not be working..)
Bubble Magus MiniQ Nano Internal Protein Skimmer (not installed until tank's cycled)
Two Little Fishes MagFeeder

Activated carbon (was going to put that in closer to completing cycle)
Seaside Aquatics ceramic bio spheres
Ceramic Rings
AquaForest salt mix
10 lb. Fiji Pink Arag-Alive! Reef Sand
CaribSea LifeRock Dry Live Rock
100 mL BIO-Spira - Instant Ocean ( was going to add in a couple days to let ammonia build)
PE Mysis Flakes (for when I have fish)

I plan do get a clown fish (maybe 2?) and anemone
Shrimp and gobies pair and/or Blennie
Maybe another small fish
Some LPS and softies
Maybe an SPS

I'll post more as is progresses. Thanks for checking it out!

You think I should go higher with my rocks? It's about 2/5 the height of the tank. I wanted to keep some room for corals to grow out but maybe I over did it..

Welcome to reef2reef! I am a fan of the cave. I think if you go up a little higher maybe 1/2 to 2/3 of the tank then you should still be good. Looking forward to seeing your progress

The rock is all up to you. You definitely have the height to add more, but depends what corals you're going for and your goals for the tank. Welcome to the club and good luck! Keep us updated!
