I have a 10G aio and 0.00 phosphates yet still growing im thinking rocks are leeching like crazy

im thinking of doing 90% waterchange removing all sand and spot peroxiding the rocks
what should i do about the frags with algae on them?
and is this too much shock for the corals?

lastly can sps get peroxide dipped?

Its either that works or i remove all sand and rock and replace with new non leeching rock from somewhere or frag racks

First you need to fix your phosphates as your never ever to let them zero out , same with nitrates .

How old of a tank? Have some pics in white light? How is your nitrate? Sounds like a lot of work if it isn't going to fix your root cause.

I did not properly clean off the dry rock so i know ill have tons of issues over time its reading 0pho but i know thats not the case. I usually always bleach and acid wash rock but now i live in an apartment building not a house it was hard to do so i skipped it and now regret it.

I will post some pics when i get back home

I have been letting the algae grow as a way to export phosphates and to actually see what kind of algae it is exactly. I was spot treating with peroxide on rocks but now its mostly on glass and frags plugs

What phosphates?? You said in initial post they were zero . Which is going to cause you a whole lot of bad problems ie: cyano/ Dino’s .bring up your nutrients . Cut your lightings time and intensity, manually clean algae , get a good clean up crew , tuxedo urchins , Mexican turbo snails , trochus snails etc. dose microbactor 7 daily until you get everything stable . What are your parameters, nitrates , phosphate, temp , salinity , cal, mag, alk, also get a powerhead in there to increase flow . You will have to dose phosphate and maybe nitrates depending on what that test results come back as . Look up the proper parameters recommended for a reef tank and maintain them while your fighting this issue . It wouldn’t hurt for you to check out some of the startup threads in this site or at least check out the beginner series that brs supply has on the 52 weeks of reefing on you tube .

Alk 8,5. Cal 400 salt 1.26 78 desgrees. No3 10ppm. Phos 0.0. 3 month old tank. I’m pretty sure it’s reading zero phosphine because the algae is eating it all off and it’s not a true reading and there’s also probably a lot of organic phosphate in there as well that is not measurable by routine testing

The ugly phase is normal. Manage parameters, remove what you can by hand, ensure proper CuC. There's no magic fix to get your tank from 3 months to a year old that comes in a bottle. Going nuclear and tearing it all apart won't speed up time either. You'll go through all that scrubbing and cleaning and be back where you started in a week or 2.

Thanks ! Maybe but I wouldn’t take the chance . You can either dose pho’s or feed reef roids which will add phosphates . Your tank is probably cycled but I would take the advise I gave earlier to rid most of the algae minus the rabbit fish to the point that you can regulate your phosphates . While your doing this keep an eye on your parameters Nd adjust accordingly . Eventually your tank will balance out

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
