So before I get this rolling, I just want to point out that this will be a long process as I want to find the perfect tank for the right price as well as other build planning (plumbing, equipment placement, OCD issues). I currently have a 4' 120g BB with a 75g DIY sump. Kessil AP700, Reef Octopus 202s skimmer, Avast Marine Spyglass large reactor (running as chaeto reactor), Kessil H80 on avast reactor and mangroves, PanWorld Return pump, Neptune Apex with ATK, WAVs, and DOS.

Now to start the build thread. I have come into the market for a nice 180g acrylic along with other equipment (friend #1 bought a house from friend #2. Friend #2 doesn't want to take the system with him, and friend #1 wants nothing to do with it.) 180g acrylic, 90g glass, 2 Kessil A360, LED/T5/MH combo, panworld return pump, huge skimmer, 100g water storage container, and TONS of LR. Myself and my very close buddy are splitting the entire system for a fraction of what the entire system is worth. I'm taking 180, water container, return pump (to have as a backup) for sure. Everything else we have to divvy out.

My intentions are to turn the 180 into a sump. 1.) because of the very cheap price I'm getting it at. And 2.) I want my DT to be larger than 200g. We are taking the system down on the 26th and I'll update with pictures then.

I look forward to updating this build thread as much as I'm looking forward to the upgrade!!!

Also want to add that I will be transforming the 75g sump into a raceway tank for a grow out once the build is finished!

Just a little update for everybody. Went and tore down the system and got the 180 home along with the 100g water container and rock. The rock is going to get dried out, washed, then cycled for future use. I have quite the project on my hands cleaning this 180 up. I may actually use this as my DT depending on how it looks after I get it cleaned up. It looks pretty good though. That is only half the rock (my buddy has the other half)

Your current tank looks good! Any updates on the new one?
Unfortunately no. It’s been a very slow process. I have been spending quite a bit of money on my current tank (piecing together a CaRx that has not been cheap) along with purchasing uv sterilizers and trying to plan what to do with the 180. Was going to do an in wall with the 180 but now I’m thinking peninsula so stand build plans have changed.
Here’s the most recent pic of my tank

*EDIT* @Bryson.bobby I do have all that rock in a 100g Rubbermaid trough cycling (been about 2 months) so I do have progress lol
