I think you have a great design on this one, is that rock in the chamber with the return pump?

Yes I want a very minimalist showtank so most of my liverock need to be in the sump, but over the pump might not be the best place...

I'm confused as 2 why no refugium.
For a refugium I would need to T my return the refugium cant be in a cascade because of the flow rate for now quarantine and refugium are gonna be in the garage. 125 gallons is not that much big finally... the other point I dont want any source of light over my sump and a refugium I guess need light.

Thats exactly what I am trying to figure out right now.... most of people calculate 10x the sump volume but for me its dosen't work... because your sump can be any size.... my opinion is go with the total volume but this is my first reef dont base yourself only on my opinion... right now I try to hit 5 to 8 time my hole setup volume and have 2 000 to 3 000 gph flowrate but 3 000 gph seam pretty heavy for my narrow sump and the corner flow give 700 gph each side for a 1 400 gph total I will cut teeth off to upscale this as much I can.

Sump design Update Still in the drawing process.
But my Mind is going to reduce flowrate a 2 000GPH, replace the liverock by the PureMarine Block, I place 3 X 7inch socks
