Just curious if starting out with two butterfly fish(copperband, orange or auriga) is a good way to start off the tank. I would like them to be the focal point and then add a pair of clown, coral beauty, hand full of wrasse and a goby

If you find a healthy eater they can be bold fish and don't necessarily have to be first. If you are just starting in the hobby I would get some experience with other fish first. The clowns would be a good start. Yellow longnose are also really great butterflyfish that are a little easier than cbb.
