So basically Innovative Marine in their infinite wisdom stopped selling aps stands. I had wanted a 20 peninsula and I was going to just simply display it like a 20 long. I know this is not traditionally how a peninsula is done but I wanted that length. Well after looking for quite sometime I could not find a stand. So that idea had to go.

I had added cabinets to my facebook market place feed and found a asian cabinet for sale. I looked at its dimensions and said wow a IM 14 Gallon Peninsula would fit that exactly and with a little room to spare. So I ordered the tank, and went and purchased the cabinet. Of course the 14 will be display length wise just like I had envisioned the 20.

Well I have come to realize that I actually could put a nuvo 20 on the stand. However I would have 1 inch of overhang on the back sump. I for some reason cannot get this out of my head. I could display it in a traditional manner, but that one inch overhand.... even though it would be the sump section of course is not good.

This has become quite the project. I have a full hydros setup coming. Basically the beginnings of a best of the best nano. What would you do? would you attempt to return the 14 and go for the 20? Would you just simply use the 14 and embrace a unique viewing experience? I really cant decide what to do. Not to mention IM I believe is going to charge me a 25% restocking fee and shipping etc. This has been rough.

For any and all replies
Thank You

With some Styrofoam sheet in between there is no problem with a 1 inch overhang but you can use a piece of plywood for extra safety.
