My current tank is a 15-gallon AIO mixed reef, but bubble-tip anemone dominant. It is one and a half months old.

I started in the hobby a year ago (with years of experience in freshwater before that) with a 6-gallon mixed reef, but quickly outgrew it and upgraded to this 15 (I definitely have caught the reefing bug :)). The coral and anemones (and some starter rock) came from the 6-gallon (which was doing really well!).

Setup

- 15 Gallon JBJ Nano Rimless AIO
- MightyJet Desktop Return Pump
- AI 16HD Prime Reef Light
- Aquatop 100w Titanium Heater
- CaribSea Live Sand
- Marco base rock
- Live rock from LFS
- TBS jar package

Inhabitants

- Maroon Clownfish
- Tailspot blenny
- Cleaner shrimp
- Peppermint shrimp
- Pom Pom Crab
- Conch
- Assortment of snails
- Hermit crabs (x4)
- Dinkins Copepods

- Two rose bubble-tip anemones (started with one, and it split)
- Candy cane coral
- Pulsing xenia

I love the btas! Are you wanting to put coral in there too, or just keep it as an anemone/ clownfish tank

Thanks!

As of right now, the plan is for it to be a BTA dominated tank. I have a candy cane coral from my 6 gallon that I put in there. It is struggling, however, because in the 6 gallon, the BTA was stinging it, but thankfully it appears to be recovering well (I also have some pulsing xenias). My hesitance about adding any other corals stems from the damage those BTAs can do haha!

I am sorry that I am just seeing this! I imagine this might be too late, but I use a MightyJet Desktop Return Pump. That’s it for flow. As of right now, everything is thriving.

Wanted to give an update on the tank since it has been about six months. Things are going super well! The fish are happy and healthy and the BTA split again so there are now three and they fill up the tank nicely. One moved around a bit and stung my candy cane, but it is healing now.
